A poet, soprano, and member of Crime Writers of Canada, she lives in Loretto, Ontario, with author Peter Thomas Pontsa.

Fern Brady, founder of Inklings Publishing, is a former foreign correspondent, teacher, and Houston Realtor. Her award-winning United Vidden (Thyrein’s Galactic Wall Series) won the 2025 Literary Global Book Award for Sci-Fi. It follows Princess Verena reclaiming her throne amid galactic chaos. Her latest, Love’s Call, features painter Denipia evading a dictator. A podcast co-host and Houston Writers Guild leader, Fern’s career is stellar.
